The hose has the attachment grip / elbow already attached. It has suction relief valve to reduce suction if needed. Overall length of the hose from the machine to the end of attachment grip / elbow is about 9 feet (3 meters) Kirby G3 and G4 models have different type of connector that attaches to the vacuum. If you need the stretch hose for G3 or G4 you need to buy original machine end and swap it
